Spain will present over 400 titles in the Children and Young Adults Book Fair in Mexico

As the guest country, Spain will present over 400 titles at the International Children and Young Adults Book Fair, which will take place November 10-20 in Mexico City, with the participation of authors such as Elena Poniatowska and Francisco Hinojosa.

Miguel Utray, cultural counselor of the Spanish Embassy in Mexico, confirmed today that his country will be involved in more than 150 activities, with a pavilion of 100 square meters and more than 400 titles including literature, comics, and graphic novels. In addition to Poniatowska – winner of the Cervantes Prize in 2013  – and Hinojosa, a children author, the participation of authors Verónica Murguía, Silvia Molina, Alberto Chimal, and Monica Brozón, among others, has been announced. According to the organizers, the fair – which will have as its national guest the state of Baja California – will address the issues of migration, Native American languages, ??and will seek to maintain itself as a promoter of books and literacy in Mexico.
