Lightning Source LLC, part of Ingram Content Group (“Ingram”), is expanding its “Global Connect” print-on-demand (POD) and distribution network to Spain through an alliance with PodiPrint, one of the largest media publishing and distribution groups in Spain.

“We are pleased to expand Ingram’s Global Connect programme to Spain, enabling us to immediately connect with local bookselling markets and deliver books quickly,” said David Taylor, Ingram’s Senior Vice President of Content Acquisition, International. “By adding Spain to our POD network, we are expanding our speed and reach around the world, helping publishers and retailers grow sales and revenue while quickly meeting demand.”

Ingram’s relationship with PodiPrint gives publishers access to high-quality, POD book manufacturing plus access to PodiPrint’s established relationships with more than 1,300 retail points of sale in Spain.

Books printed at Global Connect locations adhere to the same specifications and quality standards in place at Ingram’s Lightning Source facilities worldwide. Ingram maintains file integrity and security, as well as reporting and payment remittance to publishers.

Ingram’s new Global Connect alliance in Spain brings the worldwide total to eight, along with India, Italy, Russia, Germany, Poland, China and South Korea.
