Minino y la Luna is a children's book by Meritxell Martí and illustrated by Xavier Salomó. The author and illustrator have several other children's board books, one of which is a bilingual English/Spanish edition.

This tells the story of Minino the cat climbing up to the moon to explore and the short adventure he experiences. Simple sentences and pop-of-color graphics will certainly appeal to young children readers. The humorous and playful tone (bouncing on the moon, space snails) is whimsical children's fiction at its best, especially paired with the sparse yet lively illustrations.

There is just enough surprise in the plot to keep children interested, for example, drinking moon milk with straws and puffed-out cheeks. The dialogue is simple and plausible enough for young readers and maintains a sense of relatable familiarity when Minino becomes sleepy and returns home to bed.

A slightly different take on the bedtime story, this is a charming book and would transfer well to American children. The simple writing and dialogue would likewise be very suitable for translation.
