This August, Alianza Editorial will publish ‘¿Que pasa con Baum?’ Woody Allen's first novel in Spanish.

According to Alianza Editorial, the novel tells the story of Jewish writer Asher Baum, who recreates the New York cultural scene, the miseries of family life and the decline of love and other common themes in his filmography.

With this story and a few months shy of his 90th birthday, Allen makes his debut in long literary fiction, with a novel that has the ingredients that the Manhattan director's fans like so much: a recognizable universe, original and amusing plots and a gift for witty dialogues, according to a statement from Alianza Editorial.
