The Benengeli festival reaches its fifth year. We are talking about a unique event in the Spanish language. The activities will take place in person and digitally throughout a week in 5 continents.
But it is also worth mentioning that Benengeli 2025 will have as its thematic axis the 5 senses of human perception and their reflection in the literary process.
As we all know, the expressive use of these five senses generates aesthetic, formal and political variations. Writing from sight, from touch, from what is heard, from what is tasted, from the trace of smells, not only refers to a technical exercise, but an imaginative way of approaching and reworking themes such as totalitarianism, espionage; music, oral stories, the sound of catastrophes; scars, tattoos, the relationship with the body; gastronomy, famines; perfumes; the relationship with nature and the power of memory.
This year, 12 centers of the Cervantes network will be part of this great meeting that will bring together leading voices of the literary world in Spanish. A landscape characterized by the aesthetic and generational plurality with which literature in our language approaches the realities of the 21st century.
