'Poemas de lo irremediable,' a great book of unpublished poetry by Antonio Gala (1947 – 1952).

Over the years Antonio Gala wrote poems that now see the light as a posthumous tribute to the great themes that he always had present in his literature: love, the body, pleasure, and death.

Poemas de lo irremediable" is an essential book that reveals to us the young poet, full of spirituality, the essence of the great author whose legacy will remain forever.

The compilation included in this issue is of great value within the Galician creative universe, since it brings together and for the first time since 2005, the publication of “El poema de Tobías desangelado,” a set of texts lyrics, most of them never published.  These lyrics are very broad, rich and diverse, authored by this self-proclaimed poet.

The oldest poem that we have managed to trace in the development of our research, a "Cantiga," dedicated to Fernando G. Aparicio, dates from July 16, 1947, when Antonio Gala was only sixteen years old.
