The Valencian writer who is sweeping sales returns this November

With 'Roma soy yo,' he captivated more than 300,000 readers and now he aspires to prove repeat the success with 'Maldita Roma,' whose protagonist is Julius Caesar.

Julio Cesar will once again be the protagonist of the cultural autumn. On November 14, 'Maldita Roma' arrives in bookstores, the second part of the saga that Santiago Posteguillo is dedicating to the great figure of Classical Rome and whose first installment, 'Roma soy yo,' was the best-selling novel in Spain in 2022 with more than 300,000 copies sold.

For Santiago Posteguillo each novel is "like a doctoral thesis but with thousands of judges." He boasts that no historian has 'caught' him in an error regarding the narration of the past. He also supports with a sense of humor the comments about the length of his novels: «I am not an author who writes for weight, but I am not going to enter the short literature contest either.

For me there are no long or short novels, but entertaining ones. My first objective is to entertain the reader,» he said in an interview with LAS PROVINCIAS. In the opinion of his readers, who can be counted by the legion, he succeeds. And he proves it in each novel. Posteguillo is the "emperor" of the historical novel in Spain.
