a historical novel that recounts the decline of the Roman Empire during the brief reigns of the emperors Publius Helvius Pertinax and Marcus Didius Severus Julianus.

The author uses an intriguing plot to explore the causes of the decline and betrayal that led to the sale of the empire. The work deals with human passions and explains the collapse of one of the most important empires in history.

This specialist, who already demonstrated his literary ability and historical accuracy in his previous installment entitled "El amo de Roma," takes us to a time of great importance yet not well-known. In this book, he focuses on the inexorable and slow decline of this civilization during the rule of two emperors: Pertinax and Julianus. These rulers occupied the throne for 87 and 66 days, respectively. The author records the events of this time in black and white.
