The Instituto Cervantes has received the legacy of José Luis Sampedro in La Caja de las Letras. Sampedro is remembered as a "fundamental" and "decisive" figure in contemporary history, humanist economics, and literature.
The legacy, given by his daughter, Isabel Sampedro Pellicer, consists of five literary works and a vinyl record. Among the literary works are luxury and very carefully used books of the works: 'Congreso en Estocolmo,' 'El rio que nos lleva,' and 'La sonrisa etrusca.' Also included is a miniature book with the speech 'Desde la frontera,', which she delivered in order to enter the Real Academia Española, and an autobiographical account of his experience in a New York hospital due to heart disease.
Isabel Sampedro has also delivered a copy of the 'Revista UNO,' edited by the writer during the Spanish Civil War. The magazine, which corresponds to a special printing from 1997, includes handwritten texts and drawings.
