Up to the present, printed books sold in Spain have grown close to 7% compared to 2021.

This report brings together information on retail sales of print books in eleven countries: the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, India, South Africa, Italy, Poland, Spain, Mexico and Brazil.

The data is collected and processed by Nielsen Bookscan, which has a history of more than twenty years. These figures result from transactions made by end customers at Nielsen Bookscan partner outlets. This report corresponds to the second quarter of 2022.

The most notable thing is that to date, copies sold in Spain have grown by around 7% compared to 2021. In Mexico, the increase is 21%.  In Brazil, copies sold in the second quarter fell 3% compared to the same period of the previous year. However, so far this year there is an increase of 6.6%. It should be noted that so far this year, three books on personal finance are among the ten best sellers in Brazil.
