The Historical Library of the Isabel la Católica Institute, Liber Prize 2022 for the promotion of reading

The Historical Library of the IES Isabel la Católica Secondary School in Madrid has been awarded the 2022 Liber Award for promoting reading in libraries open to the public "for its extraordinary work in organizing activities that stimulate and promote reading at a key time.

" With this award, the Federación de Gremios de Editores de España - FGEEF (Federation of Publishers Guilds of Spain), also recognizes the quality of the work carried out by this center in favor of culture, books, and their conservation.

The Isabel la Católica Institute, a Secondary Education center located in the Retiro district of the city of Madrid, was created in 1939, although its oldest historical heritage dates back to what was the Retiro Section of this Institute-School between 1928 and 1936.

This library has some 1,500 volumes with the seal of the Institute-School which combines text and reference books on different subjects.
