Ediciones Menguantes was born as a publishing house that wants to grow but staying away from the everyday. «We are interested in the footnotes, the failed constructions, the drafts, the strikeouts, the pencil notes in the margins. Our publications will not be televised, they will not save relationships, they will not be bedside books for politicians. We prefer the stumbles, drifting from certainty, detouring from destiny; the slow pace, the blurred photo, the unheroic demeanor».

With this declaration of intent, Lía and José, the editors, express that Ediciones Menguantes embraces imperfection, that quality that is not popularly accepted. At Publishnews we wanted to get closer to their little corner of Castilla y León.
