The Spanish company Poética 2.0 creates VERSO, a new way of advertising classical and contemporary poetry.

A new streaming platform has arrived to offer something unique: VERSO, where you experience poetry and enjoy poetry in an attractive and visual way from your mobile, computer or tablet.

This initiative presents a journey through the history of classical and contemporary Spanish poetry, recited on video by renowned actors and actresses, and also by the poets themselves.

Behind VERSO is the Valencian company Poética 2.0, with extensive experience in creating content related to poetry. VERSO has also been designed as an educational tool for teachers of language, literature, and Spanish as a foreign language. Through this platform they will be able to help their students discover poetry and take advantage of all its benefits, which include improving vocabulary and communication skills, stimulating their critical capacity, and fostering their love of culture and the arts.

VERSO is organized into subject collections that begin with the anonymous romances and the poets of the Golden Age until reaching figures such as Rosalía de Castro and Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer. There are also treatises with poems by Federico García Lorca, Saint Teresa, Vicent Andrés Estellés, María Beneyto and Joan Fuster.  Also, anthologies of fables designed for the youngest and collections of current poetry.

Users have the possibility of acquiring monthly passes or, if they prefer, subscribe for six or twelve months. By accessing the collections, you can watch the videos in the order you want, together with the full texts of all the poems.

Among the actors who recite poems on the platform there are such well-known names as Ana Fernández, Adriana Ozores, Juan Echanove, Carlos Hipólito, Emilio Gutiérrez Caba, Kiti Mánver, Mario Gas and Vicky Peña.

In addition, poets such as Antonio Gamoneda, José Manuel Caballero Bonald, Rafael Soler, Ana Rossetti, Juana Castro, Luis Antonio de Villena, Antonio Praena, Juan Vicente Piqueras, Francisca Aguirre and Almudena Guzmán, have also participated.

Poética 2.0 is working to expand the contents of VERSO with new collections dedicated to poets such as Miguel Hernández, Antonio Machado, and Rosalía de Castro.
