"Infierno, Purgatorio y Paraíso", by Jordi Ibáñez Fanés, wins the 2021 Premio de la Crítica Literaria.

The novel “Infierno, Purgatorio y Paraíso,” by Jordi Ibáñez Fanés wins the 2021 Premio de la Crítica Literaria (Literary Critics Award) for narrative in Spanish, awarded by the Asociación Española de Críticos Literarios (AECL) (Spanish Association of Literary Critics).

The award, granted in the narrative category in the Spanish language, has gone to this work because, in the words of the AECL, it is "an exceptional literary novel that tells us about a dizzying, delirious and visionary journey through the Catalan political process from the post-Franco era to an imaginary and spectral future, with complicit nods to classics as diverse as Dante, Jarry, Dickens, Quevedo and Baudelaire».
