The Cervantes Institute will collaborate with the Asociación Colegial de Escritores in promoting literature in Spanish.

According to the agreement signed on July 2nd by the director of the Cervantes Institute, Luis García Montero, and the President of said association, Manuel Rico, the Cervantes Institute will collaborate with the Asociación Colegial de Escritores (ACE) in activities....

that promote reading and the work of Spanish authors and translators in the international arena.

The Institute may consult with said association about possible names of writers who are going to participate in the programming of the different centers abroad. ACE will make "suggestions without binding criteria," Rico said.

In addition, the Institute's headquarters in Madrid and Alcalá de Henares will be able to host activities organized by ACE that are related to Spanish literature and culture. Also, both parties will cooperate in terms of translation and will make their respective resources available to each other with the aim of spreading Spanish cultures throughout the world.
