The Instituto Cervantes presents their 2021 Yearbook, in its 30th Anniversary special. "El español en el mundo" is their main academic publication, which analyzes the most important data on language and culture in Spanish.

The yearbook has studied the evolution of Spanish in the last three decades. In addition, it offers information on the 45 countries in which the Instituto Cervantes is present.

"El español en el mundo" focuses on the field of exploring the presence of Spanish in the world through research carried out by different specialist authors and researchers from all academic fields related to both the international promotion and the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language, as well as the cultural promotion of the artistic and scientific presence of the Spanish-speaking community in the world.
