Giants of fiction in search of readers

Fernando Aramburu, Julia Navarro and Arturo Pérez-Reverte face the challenge of surpassing themselves with their new novels.

The publishing industry reenters the battlefield with heavy artillery. With the end of summer comes the peak of the season and the most popular titles. A three-way battle between fiction giants, three of today's most widely read narrators, the Spanish best-sellers Fernando Aramburu, Julia Navarro and Arturo Pérez-Reverte, will soon take place in bookstores and digital platforms. And following them, David Trueba, Antonio Muñoz Molina and Belén Gopegui will also be looking for readers.

The editorial market is booming with catalogs full of new material. Tusquets Publishers will stand out with a new work by Fernando Aramburu (San Sebastián, 1959) who returns on August 25 with 'Los vencejos' trying to outdo the tsunami caused by 'Patria.' It is his first novel after the impact on the effects of terrorism in the Basque Country, which has sold 1.5 million copies, has exceeded 34 editions, and led to a successful and award-winning HBO series.
