“As was widely anticipated, the President of Anagrama, Jorge Herralde, will on Monday leave the publisher in the hands of Silvia Sesé.
The date of the transfer was agreed following the purchase of shares by the Gruppo Feltrinelli on 29 January, 2016. However, Herralde, 81, will continue to be President of the imprint and will work with the new editor on forthcoming titles. Last January, shares in Anagrama were purchased by Feltrinelli, raising the share held by the group from 49% to 99%. The founder of the publisher, one of the most influential in the Spanish-speaking world, held on to a symbolic 1%.”
