The RAE dedicates the Library of the Association of Academies of the Spanish Language.

The Royal Academy of the Spanish Language (RAE) has dedicated the new Library of the Association of Academies of the Spanish Language (ASALE) in the course of the Academy tribute to Professor Humberto López Morales (Havana, Cuba, 1936), ......

who served as secretary of the ASALE from 1994 until 2015, and who has donated his personal library of over 4,000 books to the association. Also, López Morales’ book 'Historia de la Asociación de Academias de la Lengua Española' (History of the of the Association of Academies of the Spanish Language), which compiles the mail milestones of the organization –from its inception in Mexico in 1951 to its latest congress, held in 2015 – was presented.

The director of the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language and president of the ASALE, Darío Villanueva, together with the secretary general of the ASALE, Francisco Javier Pérez, and Humberto López Morales himself, were in charge of the official dedication of the Library of the ASALE.
