Which areas of ELE does ANAYA specialize on?

In the comprehensive teaching of Spanish, both as a foreign and as a second language, taking into account the unity and diversity of Spanish, which is the official language in 21 countries. Our didactic materials have always been created from an exhaustive and complete syllabus for all levels. They are part of coherent and sequenced collections which allow the development of the students’ linguistic competence, from absolute beginners to a bilingual level.

Our materials are aimed at the teaching of adults, university students, teenagers and children, such as SUEÑA, INTENSIVO or MAÑANA. We do also have materials to teach Spanish for specific purposes: Business, Health Sciences, and Law; with them, students will learn how to speak Spanish in a specific professional field.

Even though the methodology applied is the communicative one, we also do take into account that Spanish is a Romance language, with fixed grammatical structures, that is why grammar is always emphasized. However, it is taught in combination with the four main skills.

Also, ANAYA ELE EN has sequenced materials, such as Writing, Grammar, Phonetics and Vocabulary, as well as vocabulary books for beginners whose first language is English, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Russian and Arabic.

Which titles or collections in your catalog better adapt to the US market needs?

All collections offered by ANAYA ELE EN are adapted to the USA market, always considering the multy-national commonalities of Spanish language as well as its diversity. With the presence of Spanish speakers from different countries, USA has created a coiné which is influencing the teaching of the Spanish language all over the world. Therefore, in these collections we have tried to teach a Spanish variety which is valid for all models, without forgetting the specific characteristics of each of them.

What latest releases or new projects is ANAYA ELE offering?

To continue to develop the ANAYA ELE EN collection, which unifies theory and practice and is offered at different levels, integrating the four skills and the main basis of the language. The last novelty has precisely been the expansion of the books to practice Writing (A1-A2, B1 and B2), Grammar (A1-A2, B1 and B2), Vocabulary (A1-A2, B1, -B2 is in prospect-), and Phonetics (A2, B1, B2)

We are also planning to expand our collection for beginners whose first language is Chinese.
