Luis Alberto de Cuenca receives the XX Antonio de Sancha Prize.

"I cannot imagine a world without books, so for me, today is an unimaginable day", with these words, remembering Borges, Luis Alberto de Cuenca receives the XX Antonio de Sancha Prize, awarded annually by the Association of Publishers of Madrid .

As recalled by Rosalina Diaz, president of the Association, this prize has been awarded by the jury unanimously to a personality of the letters: poet, philologist, translator, editor, researcher of language, director of the National Library and even political "as secretary of State for Culture, but above all "Humanist".

José Pascual Marco, Director of Cultural Industries of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport called Luis A. de Cuenca  "a Renaissance man, a scholar who has triumphed in all facets he has undertaken, and yet he said, he is not petulant. "

"He is someone who inspires affection, is very accessible and above all is a  good person."
