Uruguayan poetess Ida Vitale is awarded with "Premio Internacional de Poesía Ciudad de Granada/Federico García Lorca.

A total of 47 authors from 19 countries have attended this 13th edition.

The award recognizes her significant contribution to the heritage of Hispanic literature. 

In 2015 she received the "Reina Sofía Poetry Award" from the Queen herself. Authors like José Manuel Caballero Bonald and Mario Benedetti have been previously awarded this prize.
