In the Works: Library leads in Hispanic celebration

National Hispanic Heritage Month is Sept. 15 through Oct. 15 each year and celebrates the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. This year’s theme is “Honoring Our Heritage, Building Our Future.”

It’s not too late to take advantage of Bruce C. Clarke Library’s large collection of materials about Hispanic culture. The library has a wide variety of multi-cultural print, e-books and digital databases available for reading or research.

The library also has collections of adult and children’s fiction and non-fiction books, music, and DVDs, all in Spanish as well as many children’s books that are in Spanish and English.
