Letters of the Royal Spanish Academy –the on-line store of the RAE–offers all works published by the Academy throughout its history, as well as gift items relevant to the academic literature.
The logo takes its inspiration from the typeface Ibarra Real, designed by Jerónimo Gil and selected by Joaquín Ibarra for the elegant edition of Don Quixote that the Royal Spanish Academy commissioned in 1780. Coinciding with fourth centenary of Cervantes’ death and in collaboration with the Images of Don Quixote Data Bank, Letters of the Royal Spanish Academy features some of the illustrations which have graced the numerous editions of Don Quixote published since the 18th century.
