Award-winning Spanish author finds lucidity in books

When award-winning Spanish author Marta Sanz was still a child, she wanted to be anything but a writer

“I wanted to be a ballerina, a fairy godmother, or even a pharmacist,” Sanz said giggling, when she delivered a lecture on her work at the Instituto Cervantes de Manila office in Makati City.

Delivering her entire lecture, dubbed “Encuentros en la literature” in Spanish, Sanz said she discovered that reading books brings her lucidity.
