On the 11th of February, filming began on a movie based on La Casa de los náufragos (The Halfway House), the best known novel by the Cuban writer Guillermo Rosales, which was published in 1987 and translated

into several languages including German (Suhrkamp), French (Actes Sud), Italian (Fandango) and English (New Directions). The film, which is titled “Si tu voyais son coeur”, will be released in 2017.

It is being produced by the French company Nord-Ouest Films, will be directed by Joan Chemla and star Gael García Bernal and Marine Vacth. Santiago Amigorena wrote the script together with Joan Chemla.
