The 2016 Fundación Cuatrogatos Prize has been given to 20 books for children and young adults written by Ibero-American creators

The annual competition judged almost a thousand works published in Spanish by over 120 publishers from across 16 countries. The prize seeks to help distinguished works find as many homes, schools, libraries and other spaces as possible so that young readers can encounter books of great quality.

The Fundación Cuatrogatos is a non-profit organization created by the writers Sergio Andricaín and Antonio Orlando Rodríguez in Miami, United States, to work in favour of culture and education with an emphasis on children and young people.
