ESPN Deportes to broadcast the Super Bowl in Spanish for the first time in 50 years.

The NFL and CBS reached an agreement with ESPN to air the next Super Bowl in Spanish for the first time ever. Football is followed by millions of Spanish-speaking fans around the world, it only seemed logical to show it in Spanish in the U.S.

The game, scheduled for February 7 at Santa Barbara, California, will now feature a Spanish-language transmission. Sports announcer Alvaro Martin, will be in charge of narrating it along with former kicker Raul Allegre. John Sutcliffe will report directly from the field zone.

ESPN has grown its Spanish-speaking audience consistently throughout the years, "this is a unique opportunity for ESPN to connect with NFL Hispanic fans on the occasion of Super Bowl number 50 in 2016", said Freddy Rolon, ESPN's vice-president.
