Author Jill Brazier released her new bilingual children's book series "Doley, the Guatemalan Street Dog".
"A new children's book series is inspiring young readers to learn more than just one language. Jill Brazier's Doley series is written in both English and Spanish.
The first book in the series is directly inspired by Brazier's own life, and her relationship with a very special Guatemalan street dog.
When she was 20 years old, Brazier lived in a bamboo tree-house above Lake Atitlan, in the small village of San Marcos.
That's when she met a starving little dog who had no home or owner. Over time, Brazier helped nurse Doley back to life.
The pair ended up moving back to the United States, and spent the next 14 years together."
