Alicia Giménez Bartlett and Daniel Sánchez Arévalo (winner and frontrunner respectively) were careful not to disclose many details about their novels.

In a ceremony that gathered the president of Grupo Planeta, Jose Creuheras; journalist Monica Carillo; and other literary icons, the winners of this year's Planeta Literary Award presented their works to the media at a special ceremony held at the Cervantes Institute. 

"This ceremony is one of the best of my pictures", said Gimenez Bartlett during the presentation.
