Arizona Governor Doug Ducey Supports Bilingual Education in Schools.

Governor Ducey met with students at Puente de Hozho elementary school to acknowledge the schools unique and effective bilingual program. The school has been recognized for teaching Spanish and Navajo languages to students at a young age.

Governor Ducey says every child no matter what their background should have access to a quality education. The governor has showed his support by providing the school with new books written in English, Spanish, and Navajo.

Principle Dawn Trubakoff says that it was a good opportunity to have Governor Ducey come and observe how the school's bilingual education works.

Ducey has plans to go through the State Legislature in order to fund similar programs in schools throughout the state.
