Come the 2015-16 school year, Kristian King will be the new dual language kindergarten teacher at Brown Elementary School (New Mexico).

King will be alternating two classes with an English speaking teacher to teach children the same curriculum in Spanish.

King, who has a degree in Spanish from Eastern New Mexico University, is currently in the alternative licensure program and obtaining his masters in education. He has previously been a substitute teacher in the Portales school district, and this will be his first time teaching.
