President Obama presents plan to provide e-books to students in poor areas.

The president of the United States, Barack Obama, visited a library in Washington D.C. to announce an initiative, funded with 250 million dollars, to offer free access to e-books for children with low resources.

President Obama visited the Anacostia library to announce initiative and chat with group of elementary school students. He was asked about his reading habits when he was a child.

Back at the White House, he honored Shanna Peeples from Amarillo, TX as "Teacher of the Year". Ecuadorian teacher Clemencia Spizzirri, who teaches Spanish in DesMoines, Iowa, among finalists to the award.
