The author won with her fifth novel “Anoche anduve sobre las aguas”, with a fantasy and religious theme.

“This is like a game,” she says about the award. “I don't thing this is the best nor the worst [novel]. When luck is on your side, you can not believe you deserve it, because then, when it's not on your side, you will throw in the towel."
