Instituto Cervantes New York to host a presentation on the economic value of Spanish in the United States

The Fundación Telefónica's study “The Future of Spanish in the United States: The language of Hispanic Migrant Communities” and “The Economic Value of Spanish as an International Language”, will take plance Wednesday December 10, 2014 at 6:00 p.m.

The panel discussion is moderated by José Antonio Montenegro, host of CNN en Español´s Globoeconomía, and Editor-in-Chief of DesdeWallStreet.com, and as featured speakers includes:

  • Ignacio Olmos, Executive Director Instituto Cervantes
  • Emilio Gilolmo, Executive Vice President of Fundación Telefónica
  • Ambassador Alan D. Solomont (retired), Chairman of the Spain-U.S. Chamber of Commerce
  • Prof. Jose Luis García Delgado, Professor of Applied Economics at the Complutense University of Madrid
  • Dr. Jose Antonio Alonso,  Professor of Applied Economics at the Complutense University of Madrid
  • Dr. Tomas López-Pumarejo, Professor of Strategic Planning and International Business at the Brooklyn College School of Business, City University of New York

The panel discussion will be followed by a cocktail reception. Presentations will be made in Spanish and simultaneous translation will be made available.
