Oxford University scholar of Spanish and Latin American literature to deliver lecture at Yale

Edwin Williamson, the King Alfonso XIII Professor of Spanish Studies at Oxford University, will visit Yale to deliver a lecture on Tuesday, October 14.

“Williamson is a distinguished scholar of both Spanish and Latin American literature, as well as the author of “The Penguin History of Latin America,” which has appeared in Portuguese and this year comes out in Spanish. Among his other recent books are The Cambridge Companion to Jorge Luis Borges and Borges: A Life, which has been translated into Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Romanian, Hungarian, and Chinese.”
