Cervantes Institute New York celebrates Julio Cortázar's centennial

On Tuesday October 14th at 7 p.m., the Institute and the Center for Latin American Literary Studies will host “100 Years of Julio Cortázar”, a round table discussion on the writer's political and intellectual work, his relationship with American literature as a translator, his taste for jazz and boxing, as well as his own works translated into English.

The event, in Spanish & English with simultaneous translation, will have the participation of Carmen Boullosa, writer d journalist; Álvaro Enrigue, writer; Sergio Ramírez, writer and journalist; Gregory Rabassa, translator and professor at Queens College; and Dulce María Zúñiga, coordinator of the Center for Studies Julio Cortázar.
