Liber 2014 vindicates the economic role of cultural industry

The 32nd International Book Fair (LIBER 2014) ended Friday with the participation of more than 10,000 publishing professionals, convened by the Federation of Editors Guild Spain, where its president, Xavier Mallafré stressed that "LIBER 2014 offered a business opportunity to more than 400 publishing companies.

According to FGEE's president on the role of the Spanish edition as an economic and cultural engine of the country: "The cultural sector offers opportunities for the economy and employment that can not be missed. LIBER has been a clear example. If we analyze what happens in other surrounding countries, where the cultural sector represents a significant share of GDP, we can conclude that we still have some way to go."
