On her editor's note, White Rock-East Dallas editor Ananda Boardnan explores the benefits of Spanish immersion program as early as in kindergarten.

“Many of the elementary schools in Dallas ISD offer either a one-way dual language program or a two-way program. The former is for students who are have limited English proficiency; the latter is half students needing English help, and half students wanting to learn Spanish. But Alex Sanger Elementary, in Forest Hills, added a new twist to its two-way program this year: Spanish immersion for kindergarten.”
