Spanish writer Juan Bonilla wins Bienal de Novela Mario Vargas Llosa award

The author won the first edition of the award with his novel “Prohibido entrar sin pantalones”. Spanish writer Rafael Chirbes, and Colombian writer Juan Gabriel Vásquez were finalists.

“The award, which was presented by the Peruvian writer Mario Vargas Llosa in a ceremony at the National Theatre, is worth $ 100,000 and a unique sculpture donated by the Peruvian artist Fernando de Szyszlo.” Read more here.
