“Cátedra Elena Poniatowska” will seek the literary and humanist debate and the promotion of the current literature. It was created through a cooperation agreement signed between Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP) and Fundación Elena Poniatowska.

The goal of the “Cátedra” is to spread the legacy of the Cervantes Prize author of “Leonora" and "El universo o nada”, and create a forum for discussion, analysis and research on the current literature, the humanities and Poniatowska's work.
