Spanish Club in Pennsylvania introduces students to new language, culture

Students at Grace B. Luhrs University Elementary School will have an opportunity to study a different culture and language, thanks to a new after-school Spanish Club. The club will include activities related to the Spanish culture.

“My plans are to teach the students the basics, such as the alphabet, numbers, colors, basic words and phrases, and other useful parts of the language,”, said Vincent Rink, vice president of the Spanish Club at Shippensburg University and coordinator of the program. “I am a strong believer in teaching children a new language because they are able to absorb new language much more rapidly.”
