Purdue University professor inspired by Spanish literature

Howard Mancing, a professor at the College of Liberal Arts, discovered his love for Spanish in high school. He has become an expert and written numerous literary works pertaining to “Don Quixote.”

For more than 30 years, Mancing has written three fiction books about Don Quixote. “It’s a great meta-fictional work. It’s a great psychological novel, realist novel, comical novel… It really is just an extraordinary work of fiction, work of art,” he says to The Exponent Online. Read the complete story here.
