Palm Beach County School District joined the Visiting Teachers Program in 2003, and has since employed more than 75 teachers from Spain. This year, the teachers are working in nine of the district's 22 dual language programs.
“The program teaches English-speaking students and English-language learners in one classroom and splits instruction into two languages. While social studies is taught in Spanish, math is taught in English,” reports the SunSentinel. Read the story here.
