Miami Book Fair International 2013 Unveils Iberoamerican and Spanish Program

As the nation’s finest and largest literary gathering, Miami Book Fair International, gets closer – audiences are intrigued by this year’s diverse, relevant and thought-provoking program.

On the Iberoamerican side, the fair will be presenting an array of authors and conferences that not only represent many countries, but also many genres. This comprehensive program covers the gamut fiction, non-fiction, poetry, graphic novels, e-publishing, children’s and more. It is a true window to another perspective and point of view. Some of the authors include: Marcos Aguinis (Argentina), Gioconda Belli (Nicaragua), Esmeralda Santigo (Puerto Rico), René Rodríguez Soriano (República Dominicana), among others.

As this year’s featured country, Spain’s deep influence on the U.S. and all of the Americas will be recognized with a celebration of the country’s vibrant culture and literature. Fairgoers will be able to meet and listen to some of Spain’s most recognized authors and playwrights, including Cervantes prize winner Jorge Edwards, J.J. Armas Marcelo, Juan Malpartida, Soledad Puértolas, Rosa Montero, José Ovejero, Jesús Gabán, Carmen Posadas, Ana Cristina Herreros, Alfredo Gómez Cerdá, Rosa Navarro Durán and Miguel Gallardo.

The Miami Book Fair International, one of Miami’s flagship cultural events, will treat book lovers to eight days of cultural and educational activities. As we feature Spain, the Miami Book Fair International will host over 40 artists such as dancers, musicians, authors and more that will travel to Miami to be part of the festivities and educate audiences in the language, culture and literature of Spain.
