Lansing Public Library in Illinois has a lot to offer, even Spanish books

Library officials want to be sure the community understands the public library is available for use by all, including newer residents who may not be fluent in English.

The Public Library efforts at bilingual materials focuses on Spanish, since the growing Latino population in Lansing is the dominant one that would use a language other than English. Maureen Stacz, the library’s Infants, Teens and In-Betweens department head said the collection of Spanish-language books is limited to children's books and she expects it to continue to grow as officials purchase more Spanish-language and bilingual Spanish/English materials.
