A panel of 116 experts has been involved in selecting the best Spanish books since 1975.

To compile the list of the 50 best Spanish books of the last mid-century, we have brought together 40 professors of literature and humanities who teach at Spanish and foreign universities. This core group is joined by regular Babelia critics, booksellers from across the country, and journalists from the culture and other book-related sections of the newspaper.
