The Spanish Ministry of Culture awards the Best Edited Books Awards for 2024

Today, November 17, the Spanish Ministry of Culture awarded the Best Edited Books Awards for 2024

This award, which has been held annually since 1981 on a competitive basis, aims to recognize and encourage the work of publishers in the publication of books and works.

The awards do not come with a cash prize, but they are highly valued by publishers for the recognition and prestige they bring to their editorial work, as well as for the publicity they generate, as the winning books will be exhibited at the Liber, Frankfurt, and Leipzig international book fairs.

The latter two fairs, with a century-old bibliophile tradition, host the Best Book Design from all over the World exhibition, an international competition that began in Leipzig in 1963 and for which each country sends the books that win its national competition each year. After the books have been exhibited at both German fairs, the works will remain as a donation to the German Book and Type Museum in Leipzig.
