Argentinian cartoonist and humorist Maitena Burundarena has been awarded the Quevedos 2025 Ibero-American Graphic Humor Prize, organized by the General Foundation of the University of Alcalá
with the support of the Spanish Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union, and Cooperation, through the AECID.
The award, worth €30,000, recognizes her 'innovation and originality in humorous language, her cultural and social impact, her international and especially Ibero-American influence, and the quality and consistency of her career'.
