Spotify has announced the implementation of a powerful new feature designed to help listeners pick up where they left off, whether after a busy week,
falling asleep while listening, or simply needing a quick refresher before listening again. Yesterday, the Swedish company introduced Audiobook Summaries: short audio summaries tailored to where the listener last left off.
The summaries only cover parts of the book that the reader has already listened to. Similar to the “Previously on” feature on television, the summaries will help listeners easily pick up where they left off without having to listen to the entire book again. Currently in beta, audiobook summaries are the latest feature on the streaming platform, very similar to the Kindle summaries that Amazon recently incorporated.
